Video production

Video production built around the message, not just the camera.

Capture 1 began in broadcast and video production. More than 25 years later, we still help organisations plan, film and edit video that explains, persuades, trains and connects.

From interviews and brand films to event content, training, induction and social video, we make the process straightforward from brief to final delivery.

Where we started

Video has been part of Capture 1 from the beginning

Long before WhatsApp, AI and customer journeys became part of our work, Capture 1 was helping organisations communicate through film.

That experience still matters. A good production is not simply about turning up with cameras. It is about understanding what needs to be said, who needs to hear it, how the people on screen need to feel, and where the finished content is going to be used.

We help shape the brief, find the clearest story, plan the shoot and guide contributors through it. Then we turn the footage into useful content that fits the job it was created to do.

What we produce

Four kinds of work we are asked for most

Filming a company story interview for a brand film

Brand & promotional video

Films that introduce the organisation, explain an offer or help people understand why they should care. That might be a company story, customer film, product or service piece, campaign video or a set of shorter versions for digital use.

Training, induction & educational content

Video can make repeat information easier to understand and easier to deliver consistently. We produce training, induction, onboarding and educational content for teams, customers, learners and wider audiences.

Events, interviews & thought leadership

From interviews and speaker content to event coverage, highlights and supporting social edits, we capture the people, ideas and moments that are worth carrying beyond the room.

Social & campaign content

One shoot can create far more than one film. We can plan for shorter edits, vertical formats, campaign cut-downs, subtitles and platform-ready content from the outset so the footage works harder.

How we work

A useful video starts before filming

The camera is only part of the job.

We start with the communication problem. Who needs to watch? What do they already know? What needs to change after they have seen it? Where will the video live, and how much attention will the audience realistically give it?

That thinking shapes the format, length, contributors, location, questions, script and edit. It also stops clients spending money on footage that looks good but has no clear job to do.

Capability

What Capture 1 can handle

The crew and production approach are scaled to the job rather than forcing every project into the same model.

  • Creative development and production planning
  • Scripts, interview questions and contributor preparation
  • Location filming and multi-camera shoots
  • Interviews, presenters and autocue
  • Event and conference filming
  • Training, induction and educational filming
  • Editing and post-production
  • Motion graphics, titles, captions and subtitles
  • Social cut-downs and multiple-format versions
  • Remote or supplied-footage editing where appropriate
  • Aerial and drone filming through our dedicated drone capability

On the day

Good filming should feel straightforward

Many of the people we film are not professional presenters, and they should not need to be.

A large part of the job is making people comfortable, helping them say what they mean naturally and keeping the day organised so the client is not carrying the production.

We have spent years filming business leaders, staff, customers, experts, teachers, clinicians, speakers and people who simply do not enjoy being in front of a camera. Calm direction and good preparation usually matter more than another piece of equipment.

That is why clients often bring us in early. We can help turn a rough idea into a workable brief before anyone books a location or writes a script.

Where we film

Location filming across the UK

Capture 1 is based in Cheshire and works across Manchester, Liverpool, the North West, London and throughout the UK.

We regularly film on client sites, at venues, offices, events and specialist locations. The crew and production approach are scaled to the job rather than forcing every project into the same model.

If the location or story would benefit from aerial footage, our drone filming capability can be built into the same production.

Beyond the film

Video can also be part of a bigger communication journey

Today, Capture 1 works across far more than film.

A video might now sit inside a WhatsApp journey, support an event communication programme, answer a customer question, help someone through onboarding or form part of an automated follow-up sequence.

If the challenge is bigger than the film itself, we can help connect the content to the wider customer journey rather than treating the video as a standalone asset.
