Drone & aerial filming

Drone filming that gives the story a bigger view.

Aerial footage can show scale, setting and movement in a way ground-level filming cannot.

Capture 1 provides professional drone filming across the UK for construction, property, venues, events, destinations and brand content — either as standalone aerial footage or as part of a complete video production.

Why aerial

A different perspective should add something

The best drone footage does more than look impressive.

It can establish where something is, reveal the scale of a development, show how people move through a venue, follow activity across a site or give a film a sense of place that would be difficult to create from the ground.

We start with what the aerial sequence needs to communicate, then plan the flight and shots around that purpose. Sometimes that means one carefully chosen establishing shot. Sometimes the drone becomes a major part of the visual story.

Where it works

Where drone filming works particularly well

Aerial drone view of a UK construction and development site

Construction, development & industrial sites

Show the scale, layout and progress of a site, capture before-and-after views, document completed work or create stronger case-study and project content.

Drone view showing the building and grounds of a UK venue

Property, venues & facilities

Give viewers a clearer sense of a building, grounds, campus, estate, leisure venue or destination by showing how the whole location fits together.

Aerial drone footage showing the scale of an outdoor event

Events & live experiences

Add scale and atmosphere to outdoor events, festivals, sporting activity and suitable venue-based productions where the location and flight conditions allow it.

Aerial view of a UK landscape and destination from the air

Tourism, destinations & outdoor spaces

Use movement, landscape and geography to make a place easier to understand and more compelling to explore.

Aerial sequence filmed for a brand and campaign film

Brand & campaign films

Combine aerial footage with interviews, ground filming, graphics and music to give a wider production pace, scale and visual variety.

Before the flight

What we plan before the drone takes off

A successful aerial shoot depends on more than the weather.

Before filming we consider the location, airspace, surrounding people and property, the type of shots required, access to the site and the conditions needed to operate safely and legally.

Current UK drone rules include restrictions around height, airspace, people and crowds, and the exact requirements vary according to the aircraft and the nature of the flight. We assess the proposed location and operating conditions before confirming the shoot.

If the requested shot is not safe or permissible in the proposed way, we will explain the issue and look for a practical alternative rather than promising footage that cannot responsibly be captured.

Working together

One crew, one visual story

Where a project needs more than aerial footage, keeping the drone and ground production together makes life easier.

The same team can plan the establishing shots, interviews, ground sequences and aerial footage around one brief. That creates a more consistent visual style and avoids the client having to coordinate separate suppliers and separate sets of footage.

Capture 1 can manage the wider production from initial idea through filming and post-production.

Where we fly

Based in Cheshire. Filming across the UK.

Capture 1 is based in Cheshire and undertakes drone and video projects across Manchester, Liverpool, the North West, London and throughout the UK.

For aerial filming, the important question is not simply how far the crew needs to travel. We also need to understand the precise location and the shots you want so that airspace, site conditions and practical flight requirements can be checked in advance.

Send us the location or postcode, what you want to show and roughly how you plan to use the footage. We can normally tell you quickly what the sensible next step is.

Before you get in touch

Useful questions before you contact us

None of these need a final answer. They just help us give you a straight response quickly.

Where is the filming location?

We can assess the site, surrounding area and relevant airspace.

What do you want the drone to show?

This helps us plan the right movement, height and angle rather than simply collecting generic aerial footage.

Do you need footage only or a finished edit?

We can quote for the right level of production from the start.

Will people, vehicles or activity be present?

This can affect how the flight needs to be planned.

When would you ideally like to film?

Weather, access and operational conditions all matter for aerial work.

Have a location or project in mind?

Send us the location, a short description of what you want to capture and how you plan to use the footage. We will help you work out whether drone filming is right for the job and what the production needs.
