Solutions

Smarter customer communication starts with the problem you need to solve.

Customers don't think in channels or software. They want to ask a question, get the right information and know what happens next. Capture 1 designs and manages the systems behind that, using WhatsApp, AI and automation.

You don't need to know which technology you need. Start with what isn't working.

Start with the problem

Where is your customer journey getting stuck?

Most organisations don't come to us wanting a chatbot. They come because something in the journey is causing delay, missed opportunity or unnecessary work.

Customers wait too long for answers

You have the information, but customers can't find it. Your team answers the same questions, and enquiries arrive out of hours.

You're generating enquiries but losing momentum

Too much customer communication is manual

Confirmations, reminders, updates and follow-up all depend on somebody remembering, often across disconnected systems.

It goes out because the journey sends it

The five solutions

Five ways we help customer communication work better.

These aren't separate boxes to choose between. Most useful solutions combine two or more.

In practice

The best solution is usually a combination.

Real customer journeys rarely fit inside one technology.

We design the whole journey first. The technology follows.

Behind the conversation

One customer conversation. Several useful layers behind it.

The customer shouldn't need to understand the technology. How those layers work together is where much of the value sits.

01

The channel

Where the conversation starts or continues: WhatsApp, a website entry point, a QR code or an advert.

02

The conversation design

The questions, choices, journeys and actions that make the interaction useful.

03

The automation

The repeatable actions that should happen reliably without someone doing them every time.

04

The AI knowledge

Approved information the AI can use to answer open questions naturally.

05

The connected systems

CRM, booking, registration, spreadsheets and marketing tools that support the next stage.

06

The human team

The people who step in when the customer needs judgement, expertise or reassurance.

Capture 1 decides what each layer should do, how they connect and where automation should stop.

The outcome

What should improve when the journey is designed well?

Faster response

Customers get useful information while they are interested, not the next working day.

Less repetitive admin

Teams spend less time finding, copying and resending information.

Better-prepared conversations

The team receives context instead of starting each enquiry from zero.

More consistent communication

Confirmations, reminders and follow-ups happen because the journey triggers them.

Better customer visibility

Where the customer came from and what happened in the conversation supports reporting.

A more useful role for AI

AI handles what it's good at; people stay involved where judgement matters.

Who we help

Built around real customer journeys, not generic automations.

The same technology solves very different communication problems depending on the organisation.

A managed service

You don't need another platform to figure out.

Plenty of tools can send messages, build chatbots or connect an AI model. Our role is different: a managed service around the communication problem itself.

01

Understand

Map what happens today and where the communication gaps are.

02

Design

Define the journey, channel, automation, AI and human involvement.

03

Build

Create and connect the technology.

04

Test

Realistic questions, edge cases and handover scenarios.

05

Launch

Put the journey into real customer use.

06

Improve

Learn from actual conversations and refine over time.

AI, automation and people

Automate the parts that benefit from automation. Keep people where people add value.

We don't start from the assumption that every conversation should be automated.

Automation and AI suit

  • Fast access to routine information
  • Processes that should happen consistently
  • A small amount of useful qualification

People are better for

  • Judgement and empathy
  • Expertise and negotiation
  • Exceptions to the normal process

The strongest customer communication systems use both, deliberately.

Since 2000

The channels have changed. The communication thinking has not.

Capture 1 has spent more than two decades helping organisations communicate clearly through changing media: broadcast and video, then digital and interactive, then conversational automation, WhatsApp and AI.

That history matters, because technology is only useful when the customer understands the information, trusts the experience and knows what to do next.

We bring communication thinking to the technology, rather than expecting the technology to solve the communication problem.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to know which solution we need before contacting you?

No. The right answer often combines several of the solutions on this page. We start by understanding the customer journey today, what's creating the problem and which outcome you want to improve.

Do all of your solutions use WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is a big part of our work because it's low-friction for customers, but a solution can also involve websites, forms, advertising entry points, CRM, booking or registration systems, email and human teams. We choose the role WhatsApp should play rather than forcing everything into one channel.

Is this the same as buying chatbot software?

No. Software may form part of the solution, but we provide the strategy, conversation design, build, knowledge preparation, integration, testing and ongoing management around it.

Can you add AI to an existing WhatsApp setup?

Often, yes. We review the current platform, journeys and knowledge requirements, then work out how AI can be introduced safely without disrupting what already works.

Can our team still reply to customers?

Yes. Human involvement is part of how we design journeys. Automation and AI handle the repeatable stages; conversations move to people when that's the more useful experience.

Can the solution connect to our CRM or booking system?

Potentially. It depends on the systems involved, their integration options and what information needs to move. We recommend the simplest reliable connection that solves the real workflow.

Do you manage the system after launch?

Yes. Our work is structured as a managed service rather than a one-off setup. Journeys, knowledge and integrations benefit from ongoing monitoring and improvement.

Where should we start?

With the part of the journey creating the most friction: missed enquiries, slow answers, repetitive admin, unreliable follow-up or broken handover. We work backwards from there.

Start with the problem

Show us where the customer journey is getting stuck.

You don't need to arrive with a platform specification. Tell us what customers are trying to do, what your team does today and where the experience becomes slow, repetitive or disconnected.

We'll help you work out what to automate, where AI genuinely helps and where your people need to stay involved.
